Hibernating

Several loyal readers of this blog have e-mailed me to make sure that I’m still blogging.  I am, I’m just hibernating.  Part of the reason for this is that I find that I don’t have all that much to say.  Has this been a relatively uneventful, even uninteresting offseason or what?  The real, super-duper up-to-the-minute Mets blogs (see my list of links) are doing an excellent job of providing all of the information any of us need to have at this point.  I read them with pleasure every day.  My pretend blog cannot offer such service.  I do impressions, I guess, rather than news and I’m not getting many impressions these days.  Look for me to become more active as we get closer to pitchers and catchers.

Look also for a post in just a few days containing great news about my forthcoming book (I can’t say anything official about this until I actually sign the contract, which will happen in a few days).  But those of you who have been so encouraging about the book can be told that the book is done and it will be published and if all goes according to plan, it should come out right around the time the Mets are winning their third World Championship this fall.  Stay tuned.
